What does alcohol do to your brain? It changes how you think and feel. It can make you forgetful, confused, or unable to concentrate. Alcohol also affects your judgment and decision-making skills.

This is because it alters the way nerve cells in the brain communicate with one another by slowing down activity between them.

So what are some ways that we can stay sober?

Well for starters, avoid drinking too much; drink plenty of water; get enough sleep; eat healthy food; talk about problems instead of trying to solve them under the influence of alcohol, and remember: life is full of ups and downs so don’t be afraid to ask for help if needed!

Every A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 160

It’s true that when I go shopping, the prices are what determine whether or not something is worth buying.

But now that my life has changed drastically due to rehabilitation activities (and all other sorts), it seems like more than ever before – if you need something then just buy them!

If not… don’t worry about pulling out your wallet because there will always be someone who can help pay for their item(s).

And hey: maybe they’ll actually enjoy drinking beer with us afterward too.

The reality is that you need to be at the meeting. So, if coffee and donut are going to cost more than your contribution, then go ahead and buy them with what little money you have on hand.

It’s better for the group if everyone contributes something – even just a dollar or two will help keep our meetings running smoothly!

We all rely on each other in some way when we’re trying to get well from addiction.
