Daily Reflections September 23

I can’t stop. I tried to quit for a day and the temptation was too hard to resist. I’ve been sober for 3 years now, but it’s like my body is always screaming for me to drink again.

It’s not easy living with alcoholism; there are days when I feel like giving up, but then I remember how much better life is without alcohol and realize that this journey will be worth it in the end.

He [Bill W.] said to me, gently and simply, “Do you think that you are one of us?”ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 413 (Third Edition)

I used to think I was beyond petty and had the right to be excused from anything.

When that changed in A.A., it took some time for me realize what all those pains, confusions and joys felt like because they weren’t “special.”

It’s been wonderful waking up each day knowing these aren’t just my problems–they’re everyone else’s too!

Let’s work together to create a happier and more fulfilling life. You don’t have to suffer any longer or feel that you’re different from others around you, nor do you need to be the exception.

I know it sounds cliché but we can help each other with our struggles so let us start this journey by finding out how your brain is wired up. We’ll take care of the rest!
