It can be so easy to get caught up in the chaos of life. We are constantly inundated with new information, new responsibilities, and new challenges.
It’s easy to lose sight of what’s important and to forget about our own needs.
That’s why it’s important to take some time for reflection every day.
Today, let’s reflect on the importance of self-care. When we take care of ourselves, we are better able to care for others.
So make sure you schedule some time each day for yourself, even if it’s just a few minutes! You’ll be glad you did.
Daily Reflections January 19
Faith has to work twenty-four hours a day in and through us, or we perish.ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 16
I wake up every day knowing there is a God. I rely on Him for everything, and he’s always there to help me through my struggles in life or when alcohol takes over at night time.
The first thing that pops into mind after waking up?
It’s not the weather forecast like most people would do; instead it reminds myself how much faith I have placed onto our one true loving creator who can be felt everywhere even if you don’t believe what we say about him being all around us because without him none of these things will exist!
When I pause to reflect on my day, do I recall any specific examples of the power of a Higher Power in action? Am I amazed and uplifted by how many times this is true?
If so, it’s time for me to count those blessings.
It’s also important that as I go about my daily activities–perhaps especially when things are going well or even better than expected–I stop periodically and give thanks.
The more grateful we can be for what God has given us now, not just what He may give us later, the more our lives will change from good to great!
