Daily Reflections December 29
. . . therefore the joy of good living is the theme of A.A.’s Twelfth Step. TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 125
A.A is a joyful program! Every day, I find myself taking the necessary steps to move ahead and enjoy my life without fear of giving in or resisting any longer-
It’s just too rewarding not give into those feelings anymore than absolutely necessary though because when we resist them they can really hurt us which brings me back around again on this joyous journey towards happiness…
I am finding that repeated exposure has lessened some hard edges with time; each moment now feels so much better then before as if all energies are being funneled toward positivity instead.
I am grateful for the time and effort my sponsor has put into helping me stay on track. He reminds me that if I don’t do these things, then my life is not going to change in any significant way.
That’s when it becomes clear to me that they’re all necessary steps, even though they may be hard at times.
It’s like climbing a mountain – you can go around or over obstacles, but eventually you have to get up there somehow!
So keep your eye on the prize of joyfulness and take one step at a time toward its realization- whatever those steps might entail personally for you.”
