I don’t know about you, but most mornings I struggle with the decision of whether or not to have a drink. It is always tempting to just go ahead and have that one drink knowing that I’ll be okay because it will only be one.

But then I start thinking about all the times in my life when alcohol has been more than just “one.” And so, here we are again- me struggling with what to do today. Let’s get through this together!

At the moment we are trying to put our lives in order. But this is not an end in itself. ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 77


I’m ready to forgive myself and take on the challenge of being whole again.

I can feel myself transforming in this process, becoming more aware than ever before that all my needs are met by God Himself – who loves me unconditionally no matter what they’ve done or how far away they seem from following His will for their lives

I have come to learn a valuable lesson: self-satisfaction is not an option when there’s still so much work left undone!


The Eighth Step is full of challenges, but it’s also the most important step. It’s in this stage where we make amends for our past wrongs and try to live a life that does no harm.
