When, with God’s help, we calmly accepted our lot, then we found we could live at peace with ourselves and show others who still suffered the same fears that they could get over them, too. I once believed that material values would make me happy, but after coming into A.A.,I discovered a new way of living and learned to trust others; as result my faith in self grew freeing up chains from previous years spent believing everything was about ourselves
Including our possessions which were replaced by spirit’s gifts giving life management skills leading on choices made today where sharing these experiences helps others too!
As a result of learning to trust others, I began to believe in a power greater than myself. Having faith freed me from the bondage of self.
Material gains were replaced by the gifts of the spirit and my life became manageable.
This led me to choose to share my experiences with other alcoholics who may also be looking for answers like I was many years ago.
