Daily Reflections November 20

Hey, everyone. It’s been a while since I’ve blogged anything. Been busy with work and life in general. Today, I want to talk about something that’s been on my mind for a while now: sobriety.

Specifically, how to stay sober during the holiday season. It can be tough sometimes, but I think with a bit of effort we can all make it through the holidays without drinking.

. . . when making specific requests, it will be well to add to each one of them this qualification. “. . . if it be Thy will.”TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 102

Lord, I know You’re waiting with eager anticipation to see how this day will go.

So let’s start off on the right foot by asking that throughout all of it Your best understanding be placed in my heart for what is most important today and give me the grace to carry out those plans accordingly as well!

Every now then there may come a time where we need an attitude adjustment or maybe some fresh perspective so let these words serve both our purposes: “Thy Will Be Done”

I will always remember to “let go and let God” by repeating the phrase “thy will, not mine.” The next time you are faced with a difficult decision or have an important task at hand, stop for a moment and say these words.

You’ll find that it is easier than ever before to focus your energy on what’s really important as you wait patiently for His guidance.
