Your story is unique. It’s not just a cliche, it’s something that has happened to you and can never happen again. You’re living life, the way it was meant to be lived, one day at a time.
Even if your life doesn’t seem so great right now, there are people who care about you and want nothing more than for you to succeed in sobriety.
I know how hard it can be when all of those close friends around you are drinking and partying every night while you sit on the sidelines like some sort of an outsider looking in on their lives with longing and envy.

One exercise that I practice is to try for a full inventory of my blessings…AS BILL SEES IT, p. 37
Every day in my prayers, I ask God to help me remember my list of gratitude and be grateful for it throughout the day.
When we focus on what is good in life instead of focusing solely upon our hardships or struggles then it becomes much easier not only to acknowledge how lucky we really are but also to appreciate all these blessings that come into being through no human effort at all!
There are a lot of reasons to be grateful. In order to remember them, I started making a list every day and praying for gratitude throughout the day.
It’s been two years since I’ve done this and it has helped me tremendously in my life. If you want help remembering your blessings or need some guidance on how to make a gratitude list, don’t hesitate to reach out!
