The sun is out and shining, the birds are singing, and you’re at home drinking your 2nd beer of the day. It’s a beautiful Saturday morning and you’re not sure what to do with yourself.
Wouldn’t it be great if there was a magical blog post that could help? Well stop looking because today we’ll talk about how to get through those tough first couple hours of sobriety before having another drink.
The worst part about being sober is those first few hours where all you want to do is have another drink but know deep down that would only make things worse.
Daily Reflections March 24
Man is supposed to think, and act. He wasn’t made in God’s image to be an automaton.AS BILL SEES IT, p. 55
I’ve always been a reactive person. When not reacting, I would act in a mechanical fashion; after joining Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), though- it changed everything!
With daily guidance from God and willingness to listen for His voice- every day has become an adventure as He guides my steps forward with love on each step of the journey toward recovery
Today, with a heart full of gratitude and a desire for God’s will to be done through me, my life is worth sharing.
I invite you to join me in the journey of A.A., where we share our experience strength and hope with each other—and find joy at every stage on that path together!
