“I pray that you now remove from me every single defect of character which stands in the way of my usefulness to you and my fellows.”

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 76

I don’t know why, but I always find myself feeling a little bit more content in my life when I’ve just done something good for someone else.

It doesn’t matter if it’s as simple as holding the door open or paying for their coffee – there is this indescribable joy that fills me up and makes me feel like everything will be okay.

I’m not sure what causes it exactly; maybe all of those stories about karma are true after all! But whenever people do something nice to make somebody happy, even without expecting anything in return from them at any time later on down the line…

I’m not perfect, but I am whole. This is the strength of surrendering my will to God’s and being a part of His plan for me.

If you’re struggling with addiction or any other life-controlling issue, don’t be afraid to admit your powerlessness and ask Him to help.

He wants nothing more than for us all to experience freedom from our burdens in this life so that we can live joyfully with Him forevermore!
