Daily Reflections January 20

It’s been 2 weeks since I’ve had a drink. I’m starting to feel like it might be possible for me to make this work. It’s not easy, but it is doable.

There are days where the temptation is strong and you want nothing more than to have that one beer with your friends, or maybe even just one shot of whiskey in the morning before bed – don’t give into it!

You can do this if you really try!

Daily Reflections January 20

As we go through the day we pause, when agitated or doubtful, and ask for the right thought or action.ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 87

Today I will find the space between my impulse and action to let a cooling breeze flow through me.

When it is time for heat, peace should interrupt the fierceness in order that we may discern what’s best before acting on anything rashly or impulsively.

Silence can be our greatest ally—letting go of words creates more room for understandings about ourselves when listening deeply gives us insight into others’ perspectives too!

I humbly ask my Higher Power for the grace to find the space between my impulse and my action; to let flow a cooling breeze when I would respond with heat; to interrupt fierceness with gentle peace; to accept the moment which allows judgment to become discernment.

When you are faced with difficult decisions or challenges, remember that there is always at least one path forward where your higher power can lead you.

So today, choose wisely by seeking guidance from your higher power before making any choices!
