Daily Reflections August 31

Hey everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve written a blog post. A lot has been going on in my life and I’ve just been really busy. But today, I wanted to share with you all some reflections from my day yesterday.

Yesterday was a tough day for me, but through reflection and self-compassion, I was able to find some peace by the end of the day.

Hopefully my story can inspire or help someone out there who might be going through a tough time as well.

Daily Reflections August 31

Alcoholics Anonymous will never have a professional class. We have gained some understanding of the ancient words “Freely ye have received, freely give.” We have discovered that at the point of professionalism, money and spirituality do not mix.

TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 166

I believe that Alcoholics Anonymous stands alone in the treatment of alcoholism because it is based solely on one alcoholic sharing with another.

This makes our program unique, and when I decided to stay sober myself my sponsor carried a message from Aa for me without any compensation other than some extra hours off work which are quite generous!

I am gratified that Alcoholics Anonymous is free of cost to the caller because it means that there are no barriers to A.A.’s availability for treatment, and this in turn makes it more likely people will call when they need help most.

If you know someone who needs A.A., please share this article with them so they can find their way back to sobriety!

And if you want us at Recovery Brands to put together a plan for your company’s digital marketing strategy, we’re happy to do it-and we’ll talk about how we might incorporate some neuroscience into our work as well (just kidding).

Let’s chat today and see what we can come up with together!
