Daily Reflections August 28

There is a lot of self-talk that goes on in my head. A lot. I’ve been making a daily effort to write down what’s going on in there and then share the thoughts with you guys so you can get an idea of just how crazy things are up there most of the time.

It’s pretty therapeutic for me, hopefully it will be for you too!

Daily Reflections August 28

Showing others who suffer how we were given help is the very thing which makes life seem so worth while to us now. . . . the dark past is . . . the key to life and happiness for others.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 124

When I think of how much my life has changed since being sober, it’s a miracle.

Having to deceive my partner was one thing before getting help, but now that the pain is gone and they’re happy with me again then there isn’t anything else worth doing.

Some people have the habit of deceiving their partners, abandoning best friends and spoiling mother’s hopes for their lives.

But fear not!

There is hope on every corner in this world just waiting to be found through sharing with those who understand what you’re going through.

For example, I was once so lost that I deceived my partner but now because of someone else like me being kind enough to share his experiences we are both ready to forgive ourselves and move forward into a brighter future together.

It’s been a long and hard road, but I am healing. One day at a time is how we all get through it.

If you are struggling with an addiction or have friends/family who are, please reach out to us for help!

We can point you in the right direction so that your story will be one of hope instead of pain.
