Daily Reflections August 20

If you’re like me, you probably enjoy a nice cold drink every once in a while. Whether it’s beer, wine, or liquor, there’s nothing quite like sitting back and enjoying a drink with friends or family.

But as we all know, alcohol can be pretty harmful to our health if we consume too much of it.

So today I’m going to share my daily reflections for August 20, and talk about how I’m trying to cut back on my alcohol consumption. stay safe and healthy everyone!

Daily Reflections August 20

Since defective relations with other human beings have nearly always been the immediate cause of our woes, including our alcoholism, no field of investigation could yield more satisfying and valuable rewards than this one.

TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 80

The willingness to make amends is a difficult thing. It started out of awareness, but then with discomfort and the desire for action comes next as I reflected on taking my Eighth Step in Confession:

Willingness came when forgiveness became an option instead – both toward others who may have hurt me along this path or myself- after coming back into consciousness from being preoccupied by other things like stressors life throws at you; realizing how much these events impacted not only relationships within yourself (or outside)..

Feeling peaceful & contented wasn’t just words written across scripture anymore; they were promises fulfilled!

I was finally able to forgive myself. That is the power of working the steps with a sponsor who has walked this path before you, and now it’s your turn!

Let us help you find peace with yourself today by taking that first step with our Fifth Step program. We can meet one-on-one or in groups at any time convenient for you!
