Some people might think that once an alcoholic is sober they don’t have to worry about relapsing. However, this is not the case.
Alcoholics are always at risk of relapse, no matter how long they have been sober.
Today’s daily reflection is meant to help alcoholics stay mindful and aware of the risks associated with relapse.

When I first got sober, A.A. seemed like the only option for a happy and healthy life – but it turned out to not be enough after all these years in sobriety with over twelve devoted minutes of service every day at meetings or sponsorship work each week (or whatever you prefer).
There are those people who found their way into other addiction programs that offer similar help; they may have different methods than ours does but the end result is still happiness through recovery!
It turns out that I was a very well-adjusted, high functioning alcoholic. My life wasn’t perfect but it certainly worked for me and my family.
Today many people have found sobriety in other organizations or through their own personal recovery efforts – sometimes with the help of therapy and medication.
If you’re struggling to find your way at this point in time, know there is hope!
