Daily Reflections April 17
All these failings generate fear, a soul-sickness in its own right. TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 49
“Fear knocked at the door; faith answered. No one was there.” I don’t know to whom this quote should be attributed, but it certainly indicates very clearly that fear is an illusion.
I experienced fear early in my life and mistakenly thought that being around it made me a coward because of what we were taught-and believed.
About courage not needing any type or quantity when dealing with danger just so long as you had enough courage left over after protecting yourself from all those things (from people) out there trying their hardest each day try knocking on doors asking if anyone home?
The problem wasn’t having no ironclad amount—but rather where did mine come From?
So, fear is not an illusion–it’s a choice. Choose to live life without it and stop making excuses for why you can’t do the things you want because of your fears.
Let go of what doesn’t serve you by taking action in spite of fear!
