The problem with my spiritual illness is that it’s so hard for me to come face-to-face with guilt, shame, and regret because I’m always on high alert.
Pride has been an issue ever since success came around in disguise form as intelligence – but humility will stop you before your downfall if only utilized correctly! To seek after prestige or wealth though?
That’s something no person should strive towards regardless of how successful they may be; it’s bad not just morally speaking but also spiritually too…
It’s really quite telling when people start seeking fashion instead of faith (or maybe this was what those doctors meant by “mental illness”).
I am not the only one who has to work through pride and find humility. It is a universal struggle that we all must face, regardless of intelligence or material success.
Our greatest need as humans is for God’s grace and His mercy every day in order to be healthy spiritually. The more we can admit our weaknesses and ask Him for help, the closer we will come to good spiritual health–and even better physical health!
Let us remember this today as we say “thank you” once again for blessing us with another beautiful day on Earth filled with opportunities to grow into greater love and appreciation for life.
