It has been a long day, and I am very tired. It is in times like these where the temptation to drink becomes most present. Yet I know that if I do not resist this temptation, the consequences will be as bad or worse than today’s struggles.
So today when you are feeling down or overwhelmed, remember that you have made it this far without drinking and know that tomorrow can only be better with God’s help on your side.

Moments of perception can build into a lifetime of spiritual serenity, as I have excellent reason to know. I was always scared of going to A.A., but I eventually learned that it helped me grow and become free from my addiction over time, just like a plant needs water for some help in following the sun’s light up into the sky as they stretch their roots high above ground level where you can see them.
God continues the legacy of unconditional love on Earth. My recovery in A.A put me “on a different footing,” and my roots grasped onto new soil (Alcoholics Anonymous, 12).
Higher love is unconditional. I learned that in A.A., and it has helped me change my life, as well as the lives of others around me.
